Day 10

Please complete the following in order.

  • Download, review, and study your sales playbook

1. Make sure you are scheduled to go out with a Seller today for job shadowing. Likely this will be in the morning.

2. To Dos:

  • Subscribe to our blog at JoplinRadio.com.

  • Download Zimmer’s 5 apps onto your phone if able

  • Review Zimmer’s 6 station websites

3. Schedule meetings with Department Heads for Cross-Training.

Next week, you will meet in the afternoons with:

  1. The Creative Department to cover what they do and vCreative

  2. The Traffic Department to learn what they do and how traffic interacts with sales

  3. The Digital Department to learn more about website, social media, and logo design services that we offer

  4. The Digital Manager to learn about our Blog and Second Street

  5. The Director of Sales and Business Manager to cover

    • Policy and Procedure

      • CIA policy

      • Order Entry

      • Collections

      • Missing copy instructions

      • New Business Profile/Credit Application Process

      • Changes/Extensions

      • Short Rate

      • Advertising Agreement and Exhibit A

    • Rate Card

    • Weekly Expectations and Tasks

      • Having a weekly plan as a marketing consultant

4. Meet with DOS to schedule  Efficio Training (our CRM system)

There are 3 training modules to be completed. Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 1 pm CT.

5. Review the list of suspects you created and reviewed with the Director of Sales on Day 4.

By the end of the day, you should have a list of 50 suspects. You will begin calling on them next week.

6. As you progress into your role as marketing consultant remember time management. You should spend 90% of your time on the following 3 things:

  1. Prospecting

  2. Business Profiles

  3. Proposals and Presenting

If you aren’t, then you’re wasting your time.

7. Meeting with the Director of Sales. Cover:

  • Any questions you came up with based on your training so far.

  • Review your list of suspects to see if they are viable suspects.
